In late July, Louis returned from his second-ever trip to Hoi An, Vietnam. Despite walking extensively and enduring a nearly 2-hour plane ride back, the cheerful dog emerged with a robust physique. His owner couldn’t quite recall the exact number of trips this was for their furry companion, but fondly labeled Louis as an authentic “adventurous traveler.”

Louis, whose full name is Louis The IV, is a 5-year-old short-legged Corgi residing with his owner in Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the course of nearly 4 years, Louis has traversed Vietnam and ventured through five European countries. He’s luxuriated in 5-star resorts in Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Vung Tau. He’s gazed upon iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum in France, Heidelberg in Germany, and the Statue of Liberty in the United States.

The extended journey lasted over two weeks, encompassing five European countries. It featured visits to numerous nature-centric destinations. It marked Louis’ first encounter with sheep, llamas, and cows. At first, he was apprehensive, taking cautious steps forward before retracting in curiosity – a sight that was both endearing and amusing. However, he soon became acquainted, forging friendships and engaging in harmonious play.

“All of Louis’ experiences in Europe truly astonished me. He behaved impeccably, sleeping through flights, car rides, and even boat trips, defying my earlier predictions of mischievousness,” shared Louis’ owner. Looking ahead, Louis will continue his adventures by exploring additional Asian destinations like South Korea and Japan.
