Jennifer Lawrence made an outrageous claim that her mother Karen once sold her toilet on Craigslist while promoting her new movie No Hard Feelings.

The 32-year-old actress in an interview published by People on Thursday said her toilet was purchased by Lee Eisenberg, the producing partner of her No Hard Feelings director Gene Stupnitsky.

‘Years ago, Lee Eisenberg bought a toilet on Craigslist from my mom [Karen]. My toilet,’ Lawrence claimed to People.

Eisenberg, 46, rushed to respond on Instagram and said Lawrence’s story was ‘completely untrue’ in a post that featured an image of the People headline.

‘It’s a thrill to be a part of the cultural conversation. I’ve never bought Jennifer Lawrence’s old toilets, but maybe this will open the door,’ Eisenberg wrote in the caption for his roughly 4,300 followers.

It appeared that Lawrence was just having a little fun to liven up her press junkets for the upcoming comedy that she also co-produced.

Lawrence was raised in Louisville, Kentucky, by mom Karen, who ran a day camp, and her father Gary, a construction company owner.

She told 60 Minutes in 2018 that Karen and Gary made sacrifices for her career.

In the same interview, Lawrence described herself as ‘weirdo’ who used to tell her teachers and classmates that she had a peg leg.

‘And I, like, walked in a very consistent limp. Like, incredibly consistent. And when my mom came to get me from school, my teachers were, like, ‘It’s awful what happened to Jennifer’s leg.’ And my mom was, like, ‘She does not have—she’s—her leg has not been amputated.’ I used to just invent stories just to invent them,’ she revealed.

Lawrence also shared that her parents would lock her out of the house when they tired of her antics.

‘I was a handful. And I got it. We never fought about it. I’ve always been very self-aware about my annoyingness,’ Lawrence said.

Lawrence in No Hard Feelings stars as a Craigslist escort, who gets paid by helicopter parents to date their Princeton-bound virginal 19-year-old son Percy, played by Andrew Barth Feldman, 21.

Her former Uber driver character Maddie Barker is lured into the unseemly deal in order to save her mother’s home and replace her repossessed car with a Buick Regal.

No Hard Feelings – hitting UK theaters this Friday and US theaters on June 23 – also features Matthew Broderick, Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, Scott MacArthur, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Hasan Minhaj, and Kyle Mooney.

Lawrence has 16-month-ol son Cy with husband Cooke Maroney, 38.
