It was a cold afternoon, and the street was full of people busy with their daily routines. In the crowd, I noticed a small pet, no bigger than a loaf of bread, sniffing around the trash cans. Fortunate quickly adapted to his new surroundings, and it was clear that he had a loving and gentle spirit despite the hardships he had endured.
I took him to the vet for a thorough checkup. Fortunately, aside from malnutrition and some minor problems, Fortunate was relatively healthy. The vet estimated he was about three months old. Hearing this, I felt even more determined to give him the life he deserved, a life full of love, care and security.
As I reflect on that day, I am grateful for the unexpected encounter that brought Fortunate into my life. He has become a beloved member of my family, bringing joy and laughter to our home. His resilience and ability to love despite his difficult start in life are truly inspiring.
