Johnny Depp is reportedly getting ready to make a guest appearance in Rihanna ‘s new Savage Fenty X Vol 4 fashion show.
It is thought the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star will not be strutting his stuff down the runway, but will instead feature in the show’s “star” moments.
Celebrities such as Cindy Crawford and Erykah Badu have appeared in this capacity in the past, but Johnny would be the first male to do so.
34-year-old Rihanna is said to have made the decision to include Johnny in this year’s spectacular. Her upcoming show is set to debut on Prime Video on November 9.
Johnny, who has been an ambassador for Dior since 2015, has apparently already filmed his cameo, with a source telling TMZ that it is “cool and chic”.
The Mirror has approached representatives of Johnny and Rihanna for comment.
Rihanna’s Savage Fenty X Vol 3 fashion show won an Emmy and featured the likes of Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski.
The Savage X Fenty Vol 4 show is described as a “fashion experience” and will see Cara Delevingne and Shayk take to the runway.
The news of Johnny’s involvement has divided social media users, in light of his libel trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Johnny was victorious in the trial.
One person tweeted: “It’s slimy behavior imo – if you’re going to support him, at least be upfront about it.”
Another said: “Rihanna can’t be serious? With all these beautiful and unproblematic men in Hollywood, and Johnny Depp is the one that appeals to you the most?”
But others felt differently, with one person commenting: “Rihanna supporting Johnny Depp and honouring his career is what I like to see.”
Someone else added: “I’m feeling so passionate about Johnny Depp and his rise from the ashes today. I’m just so proud of him. Sold out shows, a bunch of other successes, and today this new thing with Rihanna.”
