Her name has been a mainstay in the music industry since June 2017 when her first hit song Bodak Yellow made waves on and off the charts.
And Cardi B cleared up a few rumors about her personal life during an interview with legendary talk show host Howard Stern on Wednesday morning at the SiriusXM Studios in New York.
The 25-year old rapper – who is seven months pregnant with her first child – admitted she was never ‘feuding with anybody’ after Stern prodded about an alleged conflict with fellow songstress Nicki Minaj.
‘People were saying, ‘Cardi B’s feuding with Nicki Minaj.’ Is any of that true,’ Howard asked the Best Life singer, according to TooFab.
‘I never was feuding with anybody; there was a misunderstanding,’ Cardi said. ‘I think she felt a certain type of way about something. I definitely felt a certain type of way about something.’
Rumors have been swirling for months surrounding an apparent feud between the two queens of the rap scene.
‘I didn’t wanna ever talk about it in public because I felt like we gonna see each other again and we will talk about it, and it’s always like little issues. The thing is, it’s always little issues, but you know, fans are always gonna make it a big thing.’
On Monday, the two rappers were spotted in deep conversation at the star-studded MET Gala.
‘I spoke to her about it,’ Cardi added. ‘I spoke to her at the MET Gala about it, and it’s just like, see? It’s just something that had to be talked about because it was an issue.’
Howard asked what exactly was the issue between the two, but Cardi put a quick stop to the conversation.
‘I’m not gonna talk about it, but I really feel a certain type of way,’ she said. ‘My feelings was really hurt, and I was just on some, ‘You know what? This is why I just keep to myself. This is why I cannot f**k with nobody.”
Feuds aside, Cardi finally confirmed that she’s having a baby girl after a bit of prodding from Stern.
Known for his direct delivery, Howard dived head-on into the question on everyone’s mind and asked, ‘Do you know what you’re having … what are you having?’
‘Yes,’ the Bodak Yellow songstress replied. ‘I’m having a girl.’
She’s hinted at the baby’s gender most recently during the MET Gala on Monday night, telling the New York Times that her Jeremy Scott gown was ‘extremely heavy’ before admitting that ‘shorty weighs three and a half pounds.’
‘She do,’ said Cardi. ‘She do weigh three and a half pounds. That’s pretty good for seven months, right? ‘Because I was born five pounds.’
Cardi – real name Belcalis Almanzar – finally confirmed her pregnancy in April during her second performance on Saturday Night Live, wearing a figure-hugging Christian Siriano gown while singing Be Careful – an ode to her fiance Offset.
